What is IV Therapy (specialty infusion)?

Specialty infusion therapy services primarily involve the intravenous administration of medications which treat a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions such as infections, auto-immune illnesses, cancer, pain, multiple sclerosis, hemophilia and nutritional deficiencies.

Our Strategy

We believe that specialty infusion is a local business. We work closely with our referral sources to build the trust needed to service their complex patient’s needs outside of the hospital.

IV Therapy Services Offered

  • Administration of antibiotics, hydration therapy and other specialized medications such as IVIG or Remicade
  • Inserting and removing of different types of IV devices
  • Care of the Patient’s IV devices
  • Individualized patient education and training
  • Experienced Registered Nurses certified in IV therapy
  • 24-hour availability
  • Incisive clinical feedback to the referring doctor.

    Comfort Measures provides in-home nursing for clinical trials.

    Our Agency has experienced research Nurses who are able to conduct the following:

  • Documentation
  • Device management and coordination
  • Blood draws for local and central laboratory processing utilizing a centrifuge
  • Subject training and education
  • Subject assessments including adverse events, concomitant medications, and vital signs
  • Medical waste disposal
